Guest guest
We work with breeders of all types through our company Cherrybrook. As you know by now, there are many to choose from. You specifically indicated guard dog. If you need a guard dog, then you should look into the German Shepherd Dog. That said, we have two beautiful gentle Samoyeds who have turned out to be great for our family. Our AS son has really connected with the Sammys. Of course they are more comfortable in colder climates, so, climate should be considered. Roy S. Guest guest
Hi: I'm going to have to disagree with you about the German Shepherd. Unless you are importing from Germany, hungary, the Czech Republic, etc, or using top working lines that have proven themselves in something other than Schutzhund, policework for example, I believe a better choice would be a Belgian Malinois. I'm still partial to Anatolians, because they don't have prey drive, but if you want a man stopper, most police departments and government agencies are now using the Malinois. I come from 20 years experience as a breeder and trainer of GSDs, Dobes, and Mals. I also have fifteen years experience as a trainer for the military, customs and police departments around my area. Of course, YMMV. -- Chesa Devon Re: ( ) guard dog? We work with breeders of all types through our company Cherrybrook. As you know by now, there are many to choose from.
