We started middle school this year and we went into with a private diagnosis,,,seemed to push them forward on putting things in place for our 6th grader. We had a couple of small issues the first quarter, but other then that this has been the best school year so far,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I am soooooooooooooooooooooooo afraid to breath. I feel guilty for thinking this way and I am also thinking the teachers are thinking "what is that mom talking about????" Conferences are coming up next week so we shall see.

I think the intimidation of the school thinking i was crazy and it wasjust me seeing things etc is what ended up delaying my dd getting thehelp she needed when she was 3 (and we first started dealing withschool evaluations) to instead when she was 9. So my advice now toppl is usually if your worried get a private evaluation, dont letsomeone make you feel its you and not a problem until an expert canreassure youOn 10/22/10, bridget <beanniferj@...> wrote:> My son just went through the process of trying to qualify for preschool> services at our school district, which were denied. Conference coming up for me too Nov 1 so I will let you know too. He is in Therapeutic School right not having a 45 day assessment.

Do not feel guilty and do not doubt yourself! Keep us updated after the Conference? Even if you start a new string for it, can you post it to this discussion too so I don't miss it?
