Guest guest
There was a study published a few years ago that determined that Japanese men that ate a lot of soy had impaired brain function later in life. No effect on women. Everybody react differently to foods. I highly recommend that you look at the Weston A Price foundation website (www.westonaprice.org)for their info on biochemical individuality. > >--- Rose Lieberman <lapis@...> wrote: > >I'm not sure where the negative spin on soya comes >> from, but I think you'd have to have a good deal of >> it. > >Hi all, >I suggest looking up " soy and phytic acid " online. >The soy plant contains a high amount of phytic acid to >such a degree that it inhibits the body's absorption >of vitamins and minerals to a very unhealthy level. >If you do look it up, you'll probably run across Dr. >ph Mercola's site; I found his site nice. >Sprouted and fermented forms of soy are cool to eat >because their phtyic acid is deactivated. >As is a common note on this list, the FDA has >certainly chosen the dollar over the man, in this >instance, to market the soybean. >So keep up the Food For Life tortilla dishes (they >have sprouted soy) because they're yummy > >Lotsa Luv & Luck, Zia > >__________________________________________________________ > Music Unlimited >Access over 1 million songs. >http://music./unlimited >
Guest guest
Honestly, he is being like that because every day your child misses is money the school doesn't get. They only get paid on days they actually attend (or how it use to be anyway) They have done similar things to my friends children with major medical issues. Its so sad but true. Guest guest
What do you do with him when you have to work and he is staying home from school? THe principal is wrong and right - yes, he must attend school. But how that looks is negotiable. Kids who have a problem attending school can be schooled in other ways. I would start by trying to figure out why he doesn't want to go to school and work out from there. But if he has an IEP (if not, get one), then discussing his school placement is part of that process. my older ds eventually could not attend school at all and the school provided a tutor for his last two years of school. It could be he needs a different class, teacher, or something is going on that can be fixed to make going to school doable for him. It's a shame the principal is not more open to problem solving. Guest guest
, That is horrible. To hear that the school systems can be so uncaring and unfeeling is mortifying! The policy of them receiving payment based on attendance needs to be revised or atleast partnered by payment for children that pass their prospective grades. There should be somewhere you can go to fight this kind of treatment. Our son is only 4.5 yrs old and we are just starting on this journey which continually sounds harder than I had expected in terms of schooling. Wonder if there is an autism advocacy group that could help mediate for you with the school, or does that just make it worse? So sorry to hear this! ~ Pruden From: <mateli0300@...>Subject: ( ) Re: Re:new to group Date: Friday, May 28, 2010, 12:29 PM We have tried to have a good relationship with the school.
