Guest guest
Hello everyone. I am confused as to what I should do. I have been researching doing the GFCF diet with my children (10 & 8 both Aspergers and ADHD). I spoke with our doctor about it and the doctor said that the GFCF does not make much difference unless the child has GI issues (constipation or diarrhea). The doctor also said that it would be better to avoid the foods which create the most stomach acid (milk, dairy, high fat, and refined sugars). What are your experiences with foods and behaviors and foods and stomach upsets. Thank you so much.
Guest guest
I did an elimination diet to determine which chemicals affected us. ie take out a food family for 2-3 weeks and then try foods from that family and see what happens. I figured out that A1 casein (most dairy) makes my son sick plus more autistic (as 'drugged'). He is fine with A2 casein (from A2 cows, sheep etc). Other chemicals (including additives) can make him more autistic (less eye contact, social interaction etc)and have major behavioural problems. Is a balance btwn nutrition and improvements. I didn't take gluten out as he didn't inherit coeliac gene off me and he is clear-minded and doesn't have stomach upset with gluten like he does with casein. One diet doesn't fit all.
