I think this is great. This could open doors to other friendships in

her school. I had my first crush at age 8, we just played together in

a group and talked. It's innocent at this age. Be open with her about it. Let her know you're excited too, that she can always talk with you about it, and for her not to be overly anxious to him. At this early stage and their ages, I wouldn't tell his parents. If the boy loses interest because of it, she may blame you. My 9 yr old dd got a phone call tonight from a boy in her class that she likes. She has been talking with me for two weeks now asking me for advice. I have been trying to avoid it because she is only 9.

Since he called, then his mom called a bit later on. They want us to come over this weekend.

What do I do? How do I help protect her feelings? Do I tell his parents about her dx?

Any information will be helpful.
