Guest guest
I am finding this whole conversation very interesting and I guess validating regarding exposure! What I find intriguing is the number of families with more than 1 child with issues!! All 3 of my children were exposed to pitocin and all 3 have " problems " . My AS's twin was, not only born with a birth defect but was diagnosed when he was younger with intermitant explosive disorder. He doesn't care that diagnosis now but I do see a lot of similar behaviors as his twin. In addition, my 3rd son was diagnosed with pediatric glaucoma, a precancerous area on his head, and apraxia of speech. Thanks for helping me to not feel so alone in having multiple children with issues! Sent from my Verizon Wireless Phone " jm.smoldt " <jm.smoldt@...> wrote: >Interesting. I was induced and my son was jaundiced for my son with AS. I was induced with my middle child dd as well but she was not jaundiced and she has SPD. My youngest child has SPD and a severe speech delay possibly apraxia and he was very slightly jaundiced and no pictocin. It could be anything though as I had the Rhogam shot with all three kids and flu shots while pregnant with my first two but not with my last. > > >> >> I'm more interested in the effects of Pitocin on susceptible kids. In my Moms' group, all of us had exposure to Pitocin with our Aspie kids. It encourages uterine contractions during labor and delivery, and - as such - has a useful place in medicine. But, it seems to tamper with the oxytocin (the " cuddle " hormone) producing ability of a susceptible kid's brain. >> What has everyone's experience with it been here? >> >> > >
Guest guest
Interesting, I never thought about it before, but I have 2 boys, my oldest has AS & ADHD, my youngest has ADHD. With both boys, I had to be induced and they used the Pitocin. It makes a person stop and think anyway. > >> > >> I'm more interested in the effects of Pitocin on susceptible kids. Guest guest
My kids all came by way of Pitocin and all are on the spectrum for one thing or another. But,,,,,we always chalked it up to heredity. Looking into our family tree shows that, in our family, apples don't fall too far from the tree. he he. Robin PEOPLE MAY NOT REMEMBER EXACTLY WHAT YOU DID OR WHAT YOU SAID, BUT THEY WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL>Interesting. I was induced and my son was jaundiced for my son with AS.
