Guest guest
Like many other fellow Texans I have recently found out that I have a mold problem in my home. The HSM company's report stated I have Aspergillus/Penicillium at 1910 cts/cu. meter. However, outside my home I have the same molds at 1280 cts/cu. meter. In addition one of the tape test found Stachybotrys in the bathroom, I cannot read the level on the report at this time. What I don't know is how bad is bad. Yes my chirldren have allergies and yes at times there conditin is bad. The " Conclusions " letter states that I must leave my home due to having " inadequate living facilites " during remediation . My question is should I be getting out now or wait for the remediation to start? That could be a while.
Guest guest
After 20 years as an insurance adjuster, I have become an environmental tech specializing in mold and fungal issues - not knowing the levels of Stachybotrys found in your home, it is difficult to answer your inquiry, our home office is based in Denton TX (I'm just outside of Knoxville, TN) and perhaps they can be of help - or fax your test result to me @ 865-379-0601 - office phone is 865-379-2050 or my cell is 865-898-5826- the seriousness of contamination is based on concentration and the individual's sensitivity - everyone has differenct tolerences - however, certain types of mold have been shown to be harmful to children and those with concentrated immune systems - it is nothing to fool around with!! Hope I can help - Connie Jahr AIC, CPCU The Provident Group
