Call for Proposals on

Public and Private Sector Support to Research:

Changing Roles and Policy Responses

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is launching a

competition to support research on the changing balance between public and

private sector funding of research, and its implications for developing

country governments and research institutions. The competition is open to

researchers throughout the developing world, and will award up to seven

grants, with a maximum value of CAD $80,000 each. Applications must be

submitted by March 29, 2002, with final selection of grants to be completed

Appui des secteurs public et privé à la Recherche: Évolution des Rôles et

réponses stratégiques

Le Centre de recherches pour le développement international (CRDI) lance un

concours pour appuyer des recherches portant sur l'évolution de

l'équilibre, sur le plan du financement de la recherche, entre le secteur

public et le secteur privé, ainsi que sur leurs répercussions pour les

gouvernements et les institutions de recherche des pays en développement.

Le concours est ouvert aux chercheurs de tous les pays du monde en

développement et l'on accordera jusqu'à sept subventions d'une valeur

maximale de 80 000$CAD chacune. Il faut présenter les demandes au plus tard

le 29 mars 2002 et la sélection finale des bénéficiaires doit être terminée
