Guest guest
My 8 year old daughter, Natalee, was just diagnosed this past Tuesday with Asperger's Syndrome. I have gone through the whole range of emotions this week, but I am finally back to the original feeling of being thankful that we FINALLY have a diagnosis. I am trying to learn all I can. This is all so very new to me. Some things I have read says it's not autism, and some says it is. I want to help her as much as I can, as soon as I can. I am a single mom, Natalee has a 9 year old sister Emilee, and we live with my parents, with my sister's family right next door. We all love Natalee, and we are all in this together to make Natalee's life as full as possible. Natalee also has a lot of physical medical problems, which was the initial reason we moved in with my parents so we could homeschool. Now, I am under the impression that her physical symptoms might be caused from the Asperger's? A lot of pieces of her puzzle are falling into place the more I learn.
