Guest guest
Hi I'm Amy Camodeca, a grad student at the University of Windsor in Windsor Ontario. I conduct neuropsychological assessments for the school board in Windsor and have worked with kids (aged 2-18) with many kinds of disabilities for the last 5 years. I'm doing research (my dissertation) about parents of children with different types of disabilities or problems that impact learning in school, including ASD. I'm looking at how social and academic skills in parents are related to coping with having a child with an ASD. Your input is important because we know that the children who do well have parents that advocate for them and understand their needs. The purpose of my study is to help parents who don't do these things as well do them better, and help their child at home and at school. You can also enter yourself into a draw for a $50 (CDN) Toys R Us gift card (optional). All information is confidential, and you can enter a pseudonym (a not real name) on the consent form if you'd like. It doesn't matter how old your child is, but you have to be a biological mom or dad of the child. If you (the parent) have fewer than 30 minutes to complete some online questionnaires (about yourself) and look at some eyes and pick the emotion that goes with it, I would REALLY appreciate it! Here's the link to my study, which has more information: https://camodeca.net/studies My study has been approved by the University REB. My research advisor is Dr. S. Voelker. The university website is www.uwindsor.ca. Thanks!
