Guest guest
, thank you for this important information. Victor is now taking 03 pills of Risperdal(06mg/day), but even with this amount of medication, he is still getting eventually violent (increased violence during the last 10 days). The idea is to remove the night Risperdal, start with Zyprexa and see the results. I did not know that this medication would make him sleepy or could be considered as an emergency medication. The doctor only told us that Zyprexa would increase his hunger. Can I ask why you are changing off the Risperdal? The only time we give the Zyprexa is when our son becomes agitated to prevent him from becoming violent. It works well with him, using 5mg for a 135lb boy. I will say that it does make him sleep a lot so we try to only use it in the evening when we need it. In the mornings, we just muddle through as best we can.Angi Clifton>> Hi!> I would like to know if someone already used the medication Zyprexa. Guest guest
My son takes Geodon to control his temper, and it has worked. I thought I heard that risperdal could cause diabetes. pljFrom: Pedro Paes <pedro_paes@...>Subject: Re: ( ) Re: Zyprexa / Date: Thursday, December 9, 2010, 12:56 PM , thank you for this important information. Guest guest
My son takes 2.5mg of Zyprexa at night because of it making him sleepy. The first few days with him being sleepy was the worst of it. However, he was prescribed this medicine because he needed to gain weight. We were told that this is a strong side affect from it, but that is why he needs it. Last March he was 14yo and only weighed 68lbs. They had to put a GT in him (which in now removed) and now he's up to 100lbs. YEAH! He hasn't gained anything in a couple of months so now we can go up to 5mg. - From: Pedro Paes <pedro_paes@...>Subject: Re: ( ) Re: Zyprexa / Date: Thursday, December 9, 2010, 12:56 PM , thank you for this important information.
