I was sitting here this AM sipping my coffee (in between my sons daily AM meltdowns- lol) and as I read & read & read... I realized that we are all in this together! There are so many posts that I just wanted to say "hang in there!" and "I am going through the same thing!".... but since I barely have time to sip my coffee... here is a great big hug for all of you... for all of us! ((((((((((((((( H U G )))))))))))))We are all in this together! Every day is a struggle. I cry every single day. I feel joy at the little triumphs and deep deep sadness at the every day struggles. I question why? I wonder if it is my fault? I think I am a terrible parent every single day. Then I read the other posts and realize... I am not the only one. It helps a little bit to know I am not alone. In honor of Autsim Awareness month- this is what I am doing...I printed a big stack of the "Ten things a child with Autism wishes you Knew" list and just handing them out to anyone and everyone... the lady in line at the grocery store, neighbors, relatives, etc who all think they know better and can do a better job parenting my children... and just leaving copies of it posted up on local bulletin boards like the library, the deli, the pizza place, the coffee shop, the grocery store... etc. Peace, love, hugs to you all!
