Hi I'm new to the group too and have eating issues with my 7 yr old son who we suspect has Asp. but I still need to test. If you come up with any answers can you let me know? I'd appreciate it, I'm desperate to help relieve his symptoms the best I can,

Thanks

Cathleen

Hi!

Im new to this group. Our 3 year old son was diagnosed with HFA by our doctor and we are waiting to have it confirmed with an evaluation. We have suspected something for awhile but our previous peds never took our concerns seriously.

A friend of ours sells Reliv. She has been pushing us to try their childrens suppliment with our son. I know many AS kids have issues with nutrition. (my son will often only eat things if I dye them green. I dont understand it but it gets him to eat.) Anyone tried Reliv? Im famililar with All-One as I have taken it in the past. Any suggestions of a great suppliment for children that is casein and gluten free? Anything thats not quite so expensive?

Thanks!

my son has a non-anaphlactic allergy to dairy and has worse tantrums with

salicylates (in fruit & mint flavours) and additives like preservatives. He is

also a very picky eater because of his sensory issues, plus refuses to eat

veges. Since taking the dairy and additives out, he has been very healthy (no

more vomiting etc), but is still very picky and will only eat one or two food

textures and has a limited palette.

I noticed he was more willing to try more foods when on a chewable vitamin that

we found the level of salicylates were fine and he was okay with the taste.

Unfortunately, they changed the formulation (diff flavour) which is way too high

in salicylates and triggers major meltdowns.

So now he is not taking a vitamin, he is pickier than ever & borderline

anorexic. I didn't have much luck hiding vitamins in things
