Both houses of the state legislature have passed a bill mandating insurance coverage for the screening, diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorder. I am glad for NY. We are in NJ and as of this past June 1st our state put in

effect a law enforcing the insurance companies to cover any services for autism

spectrum disorders. I wasn't able to afford a behaviorist for my son and now

someone is starting. We are so grateful!

Now if only the school would try to learn about Aspergers, then I will really be

happy.
