Guest guest
I am new to this group. I am looking for parent advice on Transition Programs in Southern New Jersey, either private or public school-based that address the communication, social skills, vocational, life skills and reading comprehension (hyperlexia) needs of my 18 year old son. His present school BCIT-Medford does not have any Transition Program, nor does the local public school, Maple Shade SD. Your advice is urgently needed as we are going to mediation over this soon. Thanks for your assistance! Kathy Whelan spiritofthelamb@...
Guest guest
Have you looked at the YALE schools near Phili in NJ? http://www.yaleschool.com/ You may get help from the ASPEN group. Are you a member? There last conference was about transition services. http://www.aspennj.org/ And last the group Autism NJ also may help you. http://www.autismnj.org/Transition14-21years.aspx There are a number of schools I visited with my 11 year old daughter last year that had transition services up in central NJ like the Montgomery School in Gladstone. I am sure there must be schools closer to you too. Pam > > I am new to this group.
