Guest guest
Yesterday, I picked up a copy of a free magazine published for Edmonton & Area. It is titled, " SOS Children's Safety Magazine " with topics on Peer Pressure " . I feel it is excellent reading material that is applicable to most groups promoting advocacy of family-centred care. It offers a website: www.soskids.ca and toll-free contact information to request a copy of the magazine: 1-866-456-6515. The magazine discusses highly significant issues, including suicide. I was troubled by statistical documentation revealed: " 7% of female youth and 3% of male youth in BC reported making a suicide attempt " . These are sometimes taboo subjects so this may be a good starting point to discussion of serious, relevant issues within families and society.
