Guest guest
Met with our Dr. yesterday and she is changing my son's medication from Vyvance to Intuniv. We are starting with the 1mg of Intuniv this week and bumping up to 2mg next week and weaning him off of the Vyvance...the goal is to have him completely off the Vyvance in a few weeks. Jake has been on 3 stimulants and it has caused ticks...one thing he has gotten obsessive about is licking his lips. He has licked them raw for 15 months now!! we cannot get them clear! we have tried chapstick, vaseline, aquaphor, and a prescription ointment...all with no success. His Dr. feels the Intuniv will stop these things. Anyone have any experience with this medication? Thanks Misty
Guest guest
Interesting my 8 years old son did the same thing for 8 months and then it went away, his lips and chin were raw, it hurt and we explain to him that if he keeps doing that it will keep hurting, he stopped it 8 months later, he never did it again, without any medication but it seems that Asperger's children they are all different, so you can't really tell what will happen, that was my experience though. My son did the same thing. From: mistycmathis <mistycmathis@...> Sent: Tue, March 1, 2011 9:18:12 AMSubject: ( ) Changing medications..
