Guest guest
My son's IEP schedule is out of whack, since he just started one in Feb. That means he will have a yearly meeting too early this school year to include his new teacher for the following year. He will be moving from a spec-ed school (pre-k) to regular public school for K. In this situation, do schools hold the yearly at the scheduled time, then a separate transition meeting at the end of the year? To complicate further, I am thinking of asking for a meeting after the first grading period, as I know at least one goal will be 'completed', and I want to add a few more. Social skills, which of course are greatly needed. His speech goal has items to initiate conversations with staff and peers, which I hardly see happpening. When I ask him who he played with on any given day he tells me 'no one, I played all by myself'. He does know all the names of the other kids, so it's not an issue of him not knowing who he played with, LOL. Does anyone have ideas for social skills goals for a 4 year old? Thanks TJ
