Guest guest
When does everyone take the lex? morning or evenings? I take mine in the evening. I have actually had no side effects except for the weight gain. Guest guest
Hi welcome to the boards. I have been taking Lexapro for quite sometime now for my anxiety and for me Lexapro is great. It helps control my Anxiety well. The only side effect I have from the medication is the weight gain so I am now currently trying to wean myself off. But please remember that everyone's body is different and you might not gain the weight from it. Good luck to you and please let us know how you are doing. soothing <soothingsolutions@...> wrote:Hi, I am new to the group. I suffer with agoraphobia and panic/anxiety. Guest guest
You sound so much like I was. (fear of side effects and vomiting, as well). I can assure you that I have never vomited from taking Lexapro (or the Zoloft I took before it). I had a few days early on where my stomach felt a bit uneasy but not enough to cause me panic or to alter my daily activities. My main side effect while going on and going off this type of meds is a zoned-out feeling in my head, like you get if you get way too much sleep. Not horrible at all, just a bit unpleasant, but that was short-lived. Trust me, the benefit of these drugs far outweighed the few side effects I have had. Don't let the fine print on the paper that comes with your prescription scare you! They have to document have teeny, tiny complaint someone has, whether proven as a result of taking the medication or not. Good luck! I suffer with agoraphobia and panic/anxiety. Guest guest
I started off taking it in the morning, because it gave me insomnia. However, I was drowsy and zoned out all day. After awhile I started taking it at bedtime, but I have to also take Ativan to sleep. This helped with the day time drowsiness. Also, I have a huge appetite on lexapro. I lost 30 lbs. 4 years ago and am very diet and body conscious. I've gained several pounds since starting lexapro and although I'm unhappy about that, it's worth it to feel better Kirsten NEW > > Hi, I am new to the group. > I suffer with agoraphobia and panic/anxiety. Guest guest
I havent started my Lexapro yet. Id like to know out of everyone in the group that has taken it, how many of you have had diarrhea, vomiting, or nausea so bad it interrupted your work day/had to take the day off etc., and do you find it has helped for those of you with GAD, and how long did the side effects last? Is it best to take with food or milk? I appreciate your helping me with this. Larissa NEW > > Hi, I am new to the group. > I suffer with agoraphobia and panic/anxiety. Guest guest
Your worrying too much, Lexapro has jack-all side effects, usually, like me, there are no side effects at all. Sure you have to wait a couple of weeks before it works and you adjust to the medication. You dont need to take it with food. Guest guest
I've had GAD and panic attacks in the past when I was on disability and wasn't working. (I think I turned into an agoraphobic, and then when I went out into public I had the panic attacks. It went away when I took my meds and went back to work!) It's good to take these medications with food. I didn't have nausea with Lexapro myself. How are you doing now? Christie soothing <soothingsolutions@...> wrote: I havent started my Lexapro yet. Guest guest
I was. I am still worried that something is going to go wrong. Like my flight might not arrive on time, etc.... So far it has been bad, my ex boyfriend stole all my money that I saved for the surgery. Then my mother lent me the money and they never received my deposit. Hope that is the end of my bad luck. I pray that everything starts looking up. Deborah F. Guest guest
Not really scared, I was excited and couldn’t wait to get it done. It helped that we planned to take a few days before surgery to take our time driving and relaxing in the hotels first. I have heard of but not sure where that is. I am in Ranger. Guest guest
That's funny because I didn't get upset until I was wheeled into surgery too. I thought I was the only one.
