Date: Monday, June 7, 2010, 6:10 AM So the next morning, came into my bed to deliver me all the details… Had a great time for the most part. They were playing outside, they had a fire and roasted wieners and marshmallows. They had cake (and because of his nut allergy, he couldn’t have any, but they’d made cupcakes JUST for him!!), they went back outside and had sparklers, and then were each given a finger light, which they ran around with in the dark. said he was too scared to go too far from the house (I’m not surprised) but that he stayed close to a light, and him and his one buddy made light signals to each other from a distance Then they went back inside, and the girl opened her gifts. Back outside for a while… then came time to get their pyjamas on. This is where it all started to go south for him. They had to get changed individually in the bathroom, so that was great. Then they had a HUGE tent with a divider – girls on one side, boys on the other. There was PLENTY of room for all the boys, but three of them got sent to the other tent, was one of them So he was already upset by that. Then, it was loud… another bother. Then, he was tired and needs such peace for a few minutes to fall asleep, another bother. So the mom offered for to lay down in her daughters room (which was so sweet). THEN, one of the kids, not one in his class, thank goodness, started teasing for going to Leanne’s room, saying “there was ghosts in Leanne’s roomâ€. But, went anyway… but was also bothered by that. He said he was almost asleep, when the kids all came in the house, and were too loud. So, he wanted to come home, and literally went STRAIGHT to bed when he got home. He has a tendency to make everything negative, and tried to write off the whole party… so I made SURE he knew how proud I was of him having fun for three whole hours… we talked about all the fun things they did, etc, and really made sure he knew what a positive experience it was I told him about ½ sleepovers Where you go and have all the fun, and then when it’s time for bed, you come home! LOTS of kids do them, and he seemed good with that!! PHEW! No idea who the kid was who was teasing, but whatever… it was good overall Thanks for your support! =)
