Question about advocates--looking for personal experience

Would you speak to what kind of tactics your ed. consult used? Were they the pit bull on a leash or would you say they tried to develop a relationship with the school to win them over? Can you speak to tactics and outcome? What would you have done differently after having used an advocate? Thank you.

im not sure about your question, but it does seem interesting to me. could you

my wife and i couldnt afford an advocate so we did most of our own advocating,

that is why i would like more info.
