Guest guest
How do I know my child needs N-Acetyl-Cysteine? my son's glutathione levels came back within normal range on a blood test our DAN ordered, and if I'm understanding right NAC helps in the production of gluthatione, right?. Still our DAN put my son on a new version of MB12 shots with folinic acid and NAC. I started the new shots this week but when I give them to him (I do it while he sleeps and use emla cream) he doesn't wake up but he strugles a lot as if in pain, which he didn't do with the plain mb12 shots. Antoher thing I notice after the first shot is he's more irritable, and non compliant, but he was also sick for a few days, so this might be also related to him not feeling well. so my questions, does anyone know if these shots are supposed to be painful? is there a better way to give them? Can I supplement n-acetyl-cysteine orally istead of in the shot?, would it be as effective? Which test should we do to find out if he really needs to supplement N-acetyl-cysteine? Thanks so much for your input, Minnie
