Can't say for sure but I suspect this is EM repackaged for his supplement line. You can brew this stuff on your own for very little.http://www.emamerica.com/data/http://www.emtrading.com/http://scdworld.com/When you brew it you can add whatever herbs, juices or minerals you want to the mix to make it more effective.LynnMaureen <motherhenof9@...> wrote: All the talk we have shared about probiotics, and I forgot all about one I have used in the passed and been pleased with. Never used it

intensely, though. Doesn't contain the very things we are needing to stay away from (grain, dairy, or citrus), and is naturally fermented and bottled live. Maybe some of you have tried it? Doc's Friendly Flora: http://drrons.com/docs-probiotics.htm Maureen

Lynn,

I suspect you are correct that this may be

an EM (Effective Microorganisms) based formula. Most EM is brewed with

molasses as food for the mix of microbes (multiple strains that work synergistically

together), so not sure if it would be considered scd legal. If anyone is

interested I learning more about it, I would recommend checking out Vinny Pinto’s

website on EM, he does world wide consulting on the stuff and brews vats and

vats of it. Here’s his website re everything EM http://www.eminfo.info/

And I would echo Lynn’s comment on cost. If you

brew your own E from a mother culture, it is the most powerful least expensive

probiotic I know of.

P.S. Not sure what Dr. Natasha thinks of

it, but I’m pretty sure she knows about it since the SCD booth was not

that far from hers at the last WAPF conference.

------> You don't have to use molasses to brew it just a sweetner.

Honey would work also but it won't have the mineral content of molasses.

different kind of microbial system.

Lynne and and others,

I have been to Vinny's site and I want to really understand EM, but

don't really get it still. Is this something to take in addition to

kefir, fermented foods and probiotics? Does it have something the

others don't have???

I once ordered a blueberry EM drink, can't remember from where, maybe

Wilderness Family and I had forgotten I even had it. Is it like soil

based organisms in the sense of something else to add to our

repertoire of good things for our guts?

Thanks for your help.

Thank you, Lynn.  I actually did brew some from his, but I was using an educated guess at how to do it.  I am going to look at the websites you gave and check out if what I did was right or not.MaureenOn Mar 29, 2008, at 10:53 PM, Lynn Razaitis wrote:Can't say for sure but I suspect this is EM repackaged for his supplement line. ,

What a beyond marvelous explanation!!! I thank you so much for taking

the time to explain this very well and so clearly. I understand it

much better now.

I have both the blueberry EM (bought online) and Dr. Ron's friendly

flora. I think that I will make a concerted effort to incorporate

this into our live foods regimen. I don't think that the taste is so

hard to acquire if you are already used to fermented foods and drinks.

Thanks again,

Millie
