Guest guest
Is it just me or do any of you share my frustration of watching a movie with a 12 year old apsie child? He asks a ton of questions--about half of which he knows the answer. All I do is ask him the question again, and he answers it. The other half of the questions are related to plot; he is always trying to predict the plot. I try to tell him (over and over) that he needs to allow the movie to tell its story--that scenes are presented for one to keep in the back of ones mind. For example, when watching SeaBiscuit, he kept asking if this horse is Sea Biscuit. I would reply that we do not know as the movie has not given us a clue yet. But this happens over and over. Sometimes the most incredibly obvious stuff he still can ask a question. And of course the questions often intefere with the dialogue which makes it that much tougher for him to follow the movie. If we are talking, we are not listening and watching the movie. Which only is a catalyst for more questions..... Any suggestions? He gets A's and B's in school and that includes English and History!
