Guest guest
Yes, I should. I have only books I've read on my list. I have about 15 more autism-related books on the list of ones that sound good and are available to me through interlibrary loan. I've asked the library system to order Craig's book and I bought it for my sister-in-law last year but had it shipped directly to her so I didn't have a chance to read it. Guest guest
Hi All- My 8 year old Son is on his 3rd day of school in Third Grade. He is twice exceptional... Aspergers and Gifted. I'm interested in puchasing a few books and looking for recommendations. We've had him evaluated and don't have an official diagnosis as we weren't looking to get labeled. 1.) Social Skills - he's having problems finding a buddy at recess and lunch - unstructured times. How to enter a conversation, make it give and take with shared interests, exit a conversation, etc... Here's one I saw and I'm wondering if anyone has read it or if anyone has other recommendations... The Friendship Factor: Helping Our Children Navigate Their Social World-and Why It Matters for Their Success- H. Rubin 2.) Teacher - would like to purchase one for his home room teacher that will help her understand what to look for, why it happens and classroom strategies to deal with it. Know it's hard because it's a spectrum and every child is different. 3.) Parents - would like to purchase one for us to also understand why he does certain things and strategies to deal with them and provide support. Thanks, Bill
