Guest guest
Today was Nicolas's eligibility meeting combined with another IEP modification meeting. Both went my way! I knew it would, just because they've already seen my wrath, and I'm sure they don't want to deal with a parent like me, so they pretty much give me what I want! haha..anything for my kids! They changed his label from ED to Autistic, which will help him get more help that he needs. The vice principal didn't sound to eager to change it because one of the criteria said something about emotional problems effecting school, and he tried to say he had more emotional problems....when every other description of the Asperger label fit him perfectly! Anyway, he got the label he deserved, so I'm happy about that. Also, today was the first day in weeks that Nicolas didn't have to go to the office for a meltdown, or hit or kick anyone. As far as a lot of other kids, this is what is expected, not a big deal and cause for celebration.. But tonight, Nicolas gets any dessert of his choosing! haha, a small reward goes a long way. Just thought I'd share my good day.

Guest guest
Thank you! Now if we can only get him into the high functioning program! they still have to come out an evaulate him, because he's obviously not functioning in a regular school.
