For those of you taking mtx ...

Did you notice upset stomach from the mtx or could it have been from

the folic acid? Yes, I did try mtx and got upset stomach but later

when I tried to take folic acid while not on mtx the folic acid gave

me upset stomach. Weird. I'm wondering if the folic acid might

contribute to the upset stomach. Like when you are lacking in

something and start to take it the body has to get used to it being

introduced to the system?

Pat. I am so glad you brought that up because I was

wondering the same thing. I took folic acid about a

month prior to taking the mtx and I got horrible

stomach aches. My stomach feels like a constant PMS

cramping feeling, it is def. an intestinal feeling.

Cant wait to see what others have to say.

Judy: Mine too, but once I started taking the Pepcid it all settled down. I

never thought about the Folic acid causing it. But even with the Folic every

day, I am getting some mouth sores off & on, so I'm afraid to stop it.
