75% of PA sufferers are women

It is true that about 75% of PA sufferers are women. If you look at

sites dealing with auto-immune diseases, you will find that women

are 75% of the sufferers of almost all auto-immune diseases.

There are a few that are much more likely to strike men, but only a

few.

Aren't we women so lucky?

No. My rheumatologist, a woman, disagrees with this

assertion. More women are found on message boards

because woemn in our society are more likely to share

their problems than are men.

My RD has also asserted that it is an evenly spread disease..in fact, I

believe the Healthtalk.com program doctors said the same thing didn't they?
