Guest guest
Hang in there! We are all in this together and our prayers for each other sure help. I've gotten so much support and info from all of you and don't feel so alone. We are the only people out there who understand what each of us is feeling, emotionally and physically. We're all here for you. With PA, there's always something, but you're no alone any more. Take care.
Guest guest
Charise: I can't imagine trying to do law school while on mtx - it makes me feel so shitty that I can hardly walk up the stairs. You probably have been struggling with the symptoms of PA for a while and should feel proud that you have gotten as far in school as you have - Law School is very hard and stressful. And while this might not apply to you, I know from my own experience that I pushed myself really hard to excel in college and graduate school and get a power job, and all because I was proving something to myself. When my health fell apart, I realize that I will never do that stuff again, but a very definite part of that realization is that I NEVER REALLY LIKED it. Now, I am trying to put my health as a priority; it is very difficult, but without it I will never be able to do the other things I see as worthwhile now. And while it is hard to deal with getting chronic PA at a young age, it also means that you do have a long time in front of you to get it right, to do what you want maybe at a slower pace, make choices, take care of yourself, and who knows, they may find a cure due to the human genome project or at least better and better drugs/supplements/therapies for coping. Keep your chin up and remember there are many of us who know what you are dealing with. -April
Guest guest
Charise, Have you told your school about your situation? You suffer from a disability and many schools have programs to help people who have difficulty with a normal work load. They may be able to have someone supply you with notes on classes you can't make or help in other ways. You are attempting something that few healthy people can manage so don't be afraid to fiond out what help is available.
