Hi Miriam,I can relate to what you are saying. Maeci left her binder in the car...I drop it off at 8:10 a.m.Just 25 min. after her school starts. She receives it at 10:10 a.m. I cannot stand the office staffat her school. They are public servants and our taxes pay their salary! Too bad we cannot just blurt that out or our children will suffer even more! Elinor mom to Maeci From:

Rayleigh has a hard time getting ready in the morning. She does not have AS but has a 504 for anxiety and OCD. She forgets something pretty regularly and I have to bring it to her. I don't mind bringing it right now because she's in a new school and because her attitude has been really great in the morning. I don't think Rayleigh's teachers have a problem with me bringing things but the office staff refuses to let her know I've brought something. They may not know she has a 504. They never gave me this trouble with because he has an iep and 1:1 support all the time. Rayleigh doesn't need THAT much support but she does need help with transitions. I worry that if she needs something and doesn't have it that she'll develop obsessive checking behavior in the morning.

I sent an email to the guidance counselor and to her teacher. So now I'm just waiting to see what they say.

I got an email from the teacher that if we drop it off before 10:00 she will let

Rayleigh check for it. That works for me. Kind of cuts out the person in the

middle.
