When I first started MTX I would get the same type of thing almost like I was getting the flu. My Rhuemy said that this a was normal side affect. As my body got used to the MTX this stopped. Guest guest
My husband Wayne gets hot flashes sometimes several days after he gets the MTX, they are not real bad but bothersome. It took us a while to connect it with the MTX. Sharon [ ] hot spells I'm sorry if this has been covered before I have tried looking through the old e-mails but I can't seem to find this. Guest guest
<<<<<<<. I was wondering if anyone else gets extremely hot after taking their methotrexate dose. >>>>>>>> I take my dose on Friday mornings. By Friday afternoon I have a fever, usually lowgrade, that lasts through Sunday. I hate it. I also have hot flashes at other times. I get hot and sweaty for a half an hour or so. A fan helps but my skin gets so hot, especially my face. I hate that too. I don't know if there is anything you can do to help it. If there is, let me know. in Illinois

I am glad to see you are getting the MTX treatment.. we have talked in the past...how is work going? are you still working?>>>>>>>> Hi , The last time I tried to respond to your message it wouldn't take for some reason. I think the MTX is working but I can't tell for sure. My Rheumy put me on Prednosone and I had such terrible side effects (shaking, horrible headaches, sky high blood pressure) that he gradually weaned me off. I took the last pill last Friday. So now my body hurts SOOOO much worse. Last night I could barely walk. Yes I'm still working. I have done a lot of research into disability retirement for government employees so I think I'm ready if it gets that bad. Right now I also have an injured shoulder from a work- related accident and my left knee is killing me. The Rheumy says that the knee is not effected by PA, it's osteoarthritis and fluid buildup. He hasn't said what, if anything, should be done about it. Well, that's my Friday morning bitch session. Now maybe I can smile all weekend. in Illinois
