Guest guest
We recently bought a new couch, our old one was in really bad shape and a little gross we kept it covered. When we went to throw the old one out my 11 year old had a melt down sat on the couch and would not move he then proceeded to grab one of the cushions and lock himself in the bathroom with it. He has since hidden it and does not want to give it up. He says it has memories. any suggestions on what i should do.
Guest guest
Hang in there! This is a great example of how difficult "change" is for children with AS. If you could keep the couch in a basement or even in his room, that would be fine. If you don't have the space for that, then perhaps he could keep the cushions in his room to rest and read on?
