Guest guest
Just adding to the " spectrum " thought -- that spectrum is long. My son is diagnosed HFA/Aspergers. I consider him to be " mild. " Reason being he is not so affected in severity as others I read about, know of. I can think of 3 other males I know of around here with dx of HFA or Aspergers. There is quite a lot of difference between these 4. So, example, think of a loonnnggg line for the spectrum, one person may be at the left end of the line, another at the other end on the right, others between. (or lower end, higher end, however makes more sense) Their level of functioning in different areas can really differ, while at the same time I see so much similarity sometimes. And don't forget to throw in their own personalities. Also HFA vs Aspergers - it used to be the only difference between the two was regarding language delay, was it before age 3 or after, I think.
