Guest guest
After all of the discussion on HCL, I think I would like to add that to our regime. The GAPS book says not to give it with probiotic, but I am not clear when to give the probiotic, then. Also, with school age children, how do you give HCL and probiotic in the morning, if they can't be given together, and we are only up and home for about an hour, or less, before school? And, how do you give HCL with lunch when they are at school? And do you give it at snacks? Also, I am a grazer, and not a great meal eater, so do you take HCL everytime you eat? Or just with the main meals? I usually have a main breakfast and dinner, but the rest of the day is grazing. Thanks,
Guest guest
I echo many of 's questions, as I think we're going to add it too. I remember a recent discussion of brands, did anyone come up with a brand available at a Vitamin Shoppe or Whole Foods that they would recommend? I know that Standard Process has a very good one, but can only be obtained thru a licensed provider, and usually it's the same for Thorne products. Guest guest
I went with Country Life available at Whole Foods, a lower end brand, but someone posted that it's the same stuff in all the supplements for this one.I have the same questions about grazing and also timing of probiotics. I thought I was supposed to take probiotics with meals, but if that won't work with taking HCl, then I guess I can take the probiotic first thing in am and last thing in pm on empty stomach. I have been consistent with taking HCl with dinner only, b/c everything else is pretty much grazing (esp. since I am on the intro diet and basically subsisting on eggs during the day and some meat for dinner). Guest guest
I contacted at Bio-Kult and asked him about how Dr. McBride recommends taking it with HCl. He said to take HCl half-way through the meal and take the probiotic after the meal. Guest guest
So no probiotics on an empty stomach? I have been taking it first thing in am and last thing in pm. Guest guest
Hi , The instructions say to take bio-kult with breakfast and dinner, and not to take it with very hot foods or drink.
