Guest guest
Is your cat bleeding from any of its orifices? If the mold has caused urinary tract infections and the like, you need to see if there is any bleeding. Our cat and dog bled profusely. Have your vet run a fungal profile on your cat. Bacteria is often times associated with the presence of mold which can cause many symptoms. Remember, if your cat is an inside cat, it is being heavily dosed with mold, and if mycotoxins are being released, your cat is getting much more than it can probably deal with. Any more questions, please write me. pudge92565@... > Does anyone on the list know how pets are affected by a moldy home? My little Himilayan kitty sneezes, coughs and sleeps more than usual but my garden variety tabby cat lost a lot of weight recently. His sides are sunken in, his appetite is poor and his energy level is very low. I suppose if we had a canary, it would be dead by now. Nobody wants to believe me when I say that mold can be very dangerous. I don't know if the mold problem is the reason of the one cat's sharp decline in weight. Any thoughts?
