Guest guest
Regarding mood changes: we have definitely seen lots of mood changes since starting GAPS and Bio-Kult. I find that it is hard to tease out what comes from the stress of the dietary changes, what comes from Bio-Kult-induced dieoff, and what might be the result of die-off caused by the diet. In my older son's case, he has become even more fragile emotionally than he already was. But since he has also become constipated for the first time that I can remember, I have wondered if all those toxins that can't get out may be making him feel really horrible. And on that topic....we followed the GAPS book suggestion, finally, to try enemas, and I can't say enough good things about doing that! It has helped ds#1 immensely over the past week, and has lifted his mood. So it seems like it is just hard to sort out what is caused by what! It also seems worth hanging in there for a while, to see where this leads us. And regarding a question on another digest about whether the NT diet alone can heal leaky gut: all I know is that we went NT almost 6 years ago, and it did not heal my son, who went from eczema to asthma (i.e., wrong direction, external to internal) while eating very very well. I love raw cultured milk products myself, but I think casein, whether raw or not, cultured or not, is just extremely tough for damaged guts to deal with. I really really hope we get back to the dairy some day, but it seems worth the temporary abstinence to give his system a break. P.S. Can anyone tell me an easy way to reply to a specific message in digest format?! [ ] Digest Number 108 Healing leaky gut with GAPS or BED diets Re: does biokult work? Posted by: "plasticduckietogo" noriko.swanson@... plasticduckietogo Fri Mar 7, 2008 6:50 pm (PST) I have been wondering about the same thing regarding Biokult w/ my daughter (10 mos). I just pulled her off of it for the second time b/c it seems like she is not herself/ grumpy when on it. Has anyone else has this experience or reaction? I'm not sure if it's something else or Biokult-I would love to have her take it but am concerned as she's normally a very happy baby.ThanksNori Recent Activity 9 New MembersVisit Your Group Health Asthma Triggers How you can identify them. Guest guest
I choose the " reply via web post " option. None are great, but that has been easiest so far.HTH,On Mon, Mar 10, 2008 at 10:54 PM, Viadro <viadro@...> wrote: P.S. Can anyone tell me an easy way to reply to a specific message in digest format?!
