Guest guest
Hi , You can request that the school do a 'Functional Behavioral Analysis'. What they will do is come to the school and observe him in various settings and various times for a while once they have enough info they'll put together a behavior plan to address the behaviors they see and also any the teachers tell them about. The school pays for it Is generally done by a psycologist who has behavioral intervention experience.. we had to do this with our son when he was in kindergarden it worked out great Tami > > My son is 6, in 1st grade, and although he has been receiving special ed services since he was 3, he was officially dx with Asperger's Syndrome last year. He currently receives OT once per week (for an hour) but that's about it. He's starting to show some real behavior problems and anxiety, mostly at school. What else should we be trying to do for him? We're trying to find an ABA therapist but at this point I don't even know where to start! > > What medical/behavioral/social skills therapies or services does your child receive? > > Thanks. > > >
