Guest guest
Hi : Don't know much about prescription drugs for anxiety. What has helped me " keep the dege off " my anxiety was Rhodiola. Valerian and Rescue Remedy are two other " natural " options available from most health food stores. (My anxiety, BTW, was not caused by Candida but by a root canal - they are often infected. When the tooth was pulled, the anxiety left.) Guest guest
I have been on Paxil for years. It completely controls my depression and does a darn good job of anxiety. I know what you mean--even a computer game that I usually play for relaxation can cause symptoms of anxiety when I am bad. You should not put up with side effects like yours. There are plenty of drugs to try. I tried at least three before I found one I could live with that worked. I had to change again after the birth of my last child because my body chemistry must have changed during that process. Ask you dr for a different prescription--don't just start taking more medicine to reduce the sypmtoms another drug caused. Good luck. Guest guest
> > Patty, the first time I used anti-depressants a few years ago, i tried 5 or 6 before we found one without side effects (paranoia, anxiety, nervousness, etc.) Am on another go-round with the drug this winter. I'm taking Celexa. Was nervous the first few days, but am always anxious with a new med. Like my Dr. said the first time, there are a lot of anti-depressants on the market, and we'll keep trying until we find one that works well for you. Hang in there, talk to your dr. - you don't have to live with depression and anxiety - good luck. Billie ps. it's easy for me to say, I've been putting off taking MTX for years, am terrified to start taking it.
Guest guest
Sounds like you are lacking progesterone, have you tried progesterone cream - it helps a great deal with menapausal problems, including anxiety attacks? Also what about Relaxation and Sleep programme on Timed Treatments in the QX. I run this for Add kids, those who have sleep and nervous problems and even on horses, who literally go to sleep on their feet! Narayni Remedies have some excellent remedies, which were used with great success in her clinics. Look for Peace and Love Alignment (170 on screen), Stress Balance (127), Female problems (162) and Sleep (132) Also deep breathing exercises often help - four regular deep[ breaths and then one extremely lomg one, do this breathing exercise for at least four times the five breaths (20 breaths). This can be done again after a few minutes, every hour etc. Clears the lymph, oxygenates the brain and settles the mind. Hope this helps Sheenacthyblss <cthyblss@...> wrote: lately I have been having anxiety attacks - can't breath. Have just turned 50 and am thinking this is hormonal. Guest guest
My chiropractor indicated some study that may implicate low DHEA levels with anxiety. Also, that for some as progesterone levels fall, the hot flashes etc start, so rather than estrogen, he put me on progesterone first (helped moodiness also). Guest guest
Thanks Sheena I have some progesterone drops from biohealth that I will try. Guest guest
Hi, Use progesterone for last half of the month-just like a menstrual cycle. You shouldn't take progesterone all the time because our bodies don't secrete it all the time. Guest guest
Hello Donna, Thank you for your interest in The Quantum Navigator. This is a series of encyclopedias/binders which are currently being worked on and it is meant to work side by side with the Clasp32 software. This will be available through The Quantum Center of Excellence in the very near future. Guest guest
I'm a little bit worried, I keep reading that Lexapro doesn't get rid of Anxiety completely. I am currently on 15 mg, and still have some anxiety on a daily basis. I have been taking it for over a month now. My doctor says I should go up to 20 mg. Has anyone really had success with Lexapro for anxiety? Or should I try something else ? Sheila .
Guest guest
Hey Sheila, I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder with Agorophobia about 10 years ago and nothing except Klonopin seemed to help. Then I stopped taking my meds while I was pregnant with my youngest daughter and the anxiety went away amazingly for a little while. But then it came back with a vengence and my doc put me on Lexapro for it and my depression. It seemed at first that the Lexapro made my tremors and the general uneasiness feelings get worse, but after taking it for about 8 weeks all of it seemed to go away. And my mood has lifted tremendously. Every once in a while I will have to deal with the panic and anxiety, but it is much much less often. Just be patient, it takes a while for it to work into your body. They say 4-6 weeks, but I would give it about 8 weeks. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, I'm taking 20 Mgs of Lexapro and it does help my anxiety, but I'm taking something else with it to help where Lexapro isn't. Now without the Lexapro, I would be feeling a lot worse. Re: Anxiety > I'm a little bit worried, I keep reading that Lexapro doesn't get rid of > Anxiety completely. Guest guest
I think it just depends on the person. Some might need a stronger dosage than others. Re: Anxiety >I felt like it helped anxiety for me. > > > > > >
Guest guest
My experience with anti depressants like Lexapro is that they take the edge off things, they dont cure it. You might have to learn to live with it or get some therapy for anxiety disorder. Re: Anxiety I'm a little bit worried, I keep reading that Lexapro doesn't get rid of Anxiety completely.
