Guest guest
Hi everyone! I have an appointment with my Rheumy in two weeks. I have been on Indocin and Sulfasalazine for about 4 months when I was first diagnosed with PA. I have only one small spot on the back of my head that is P, is that very uncommon to have very little P but have PA? Also, should I be asking my doc for a DMARD to avoid joint destruction? Thanks -- Diane
Guest guest
Diane, I am new to this stuff too....... I have very very little P on my skin....a spot on my knee, both my elbows and a bit on the back of my neck. Mine has been like this for years and years. When it flares up and acts like it is spreading. I get some Ztar (dandruff shampoo) and mix hydrocodisone(sp) then wrap plastic wrap around the areas I treat and sleep like that..... I know it sounds bizarre but since my psoriasis on my skin is considered very mild. that works for me
Guest guest
Hi Diane, I don't know how common it is, but that is the case for me too, I have patches on my scalp and a smal spot on each elbow. Occasionally I will notice it on my knees too. I have used a ointment called TEMOVATE that seems to keep those out breaks under control. I will aslo use a tar shampoo if my scalp itches alot. But my PA is alot worse than my psoriasis. Best, Joanne In a message dated 7/25/99 12:40:35 PM Central Daylight Time, Targa99@... writes: << Hi everyone! Guest guest
Hi Vicki I use the over the counter non cream base, I am sure you could use cream. Make sure you get the 1%. Good luck!
