Guest guest
Hello, !Thank you for sharing your experience - this all is very valuable for me. Sorry to hear about hardships, it is really hard with children. I always feel so sorry for their suffering.Happy healing to you!EfilanaFrom: <andrea@...> Sent: Fri, April 1, 2011 4:23:56 PMSubject: [ ] Re: Hello everybody! (still on broth) I’ve been on GAPS for a year…along with our nine seriously ill children (from a toxic mold exposure)….We stayed off fruit for 6 months and when we brought strawberries and apples back…yeast signs returned for some of the children. Some of us are fine with it. My son’s acne returned and so he has decided to back off apples. He has done OK with carrots…so I think it’s different for everybody. I’ve learned to trust my instincts on it and not rush through or try to “keep up†with the diet. My daughter has spent a year on broth with some carrots. (fungus obviously is a huge issue for us) I lost quite a bit of weight the first two months (5’9â€) ..down to 122 pounds. It was scary for me. I put the scale away and kept going. Here it is April and I weighed myself this week and I’m up to 134 pounds. I increased fats and oils (particularly coconut oil). Guest guest
Hi, I have seen over the past couple of years that many people do not tolerate fruits or sugar of any kind for a while. I would make sure you are getting enough good fats/coconut oil is a great anti-fungal and I apply it topically to private areas in the summer or when needed to ward of the pesky yeasty monster and use as a general moisturizer. i actually like Nutiva the best from iherb. It has a nicer smell and shipping is free green pastures is my second best. I like wildernessfamilynaturals but can't afford their coconut oil. We also do not tolerate a lot of green leafy veggies...yes I know, it sucks, but they just don't work for us yet. Best of luck, Anne
