I asked a new Rheumy about avoiding Echinacea ( I have had mild PA for 3

years and minor P for 15) and she said that yes I should avoid it...I was

expecting this answer.

But she also said I should avoid bean sprouts...not all sprouts, just bean

sprouts.

1) anyone heard of this before?

and

2) what else should I avoid along the lines of immune system boosters?

I used to suck a Coldeze when feeling a cold coming on...should I avoid

these too?

Rosman

professional juggler with PA...(boy does that suck)

Regarding the bean sprouts, not too long ago (6 mos or so?) people

were cautioned about bean sprouts because it seemed that e-coli or

some bacteria could be in them. I think it has to do with the fact

that they are not sterilized or something else in the growing process

happens.
