Tony Attwood mentioned that he was asked to preview the movie. He said it was wonderful! Speaking of movies...HBO is doing a special on Temple Grandin that will come out February 2010. Pam :)

I was elated that this yet to be released movie is getting so much attention already. How cool is that! Btw, the movie comes to my local theatre on July 23. Don't know if I'll bring my husband or not. I'm afraid I'll be a blubbering baby watching that movie. An Excellent Credit Score is 750. See Yours in Just 2 Easy Steps!

It is scheduled to be released " limited " on July 23. Most theaters these days

have schedules posted about a week in advance so you should know in the next few

days if it is opening at any of the theatres in your area. Because it was a

Sundance film that was picked up for distribution it is likely that it will play

more (at least initially) at the " artsy " type of theatres. If it has a good

response it should be picked up in more theatres a week or two after the initial

opening.

What state do you live in? Maybe that will give me a clue of when it will be.

I would look up your local theatre, even just google it!! … lots of times they have a listing of “coming soon†movies, and their release dates :) That’s how I found out I have to wait until August 7th to see it near me! LOL

Good luck finding it!

Do you know of a website that will list when the movie will come out to my local theatre?

Thanks for the info on the movie. As soon as I can find a playing date and time

I am going. I'm a dad, but I know I will be crying anyway. thank God they keep

the lights down low. Hopefully they give me a few minutes to compose myself

before the lights come up. :)

BTW: The part of the clip when he declines the offer to see the baby video is so

my son. God, I wish I could have that " honesty " and get away with it.

Just wanted to chime in and say that I just watched this movie last night in

Boston. It was fantastic!

There was a question and answer session at the end with the director and two

main actors. As the mother of an 11 year old son with AS, I found the response

by the adults with AS very interesting. They all seemed to really relate to

Adam and were impressed with the portrayal of a person with AS. (Maybe a

glimpse into my son's future?) So, it was pretty spot on and not over the

top...very realistic.

I am hopeful that this movie will enlighten a greater population about AS and

the struggles people with AS face everyday. It was wonderful!!
