Guest guest
It's been quite a while and we'd lost contact with the boy. He's a few years older than and we met him when was about 4 months old. We were at a La Leche League meeting. He was the cutest little boy and he came up and asked lots of questions about and was very good with him. was diagnosed at age 3.5. As got older we had the family come to the house for visits and and this boy played gameboy together. I have some adorable pix of them. Anyway, we just re-established connections and found out the boy was diagnosed with AS a while back! I remember his mom telling me about some things the boy did when he was small that were similar to but I never thought anything of it because I really hadn't seen AS in an older kid before we lost contact. remembers him. I told him about the dx and he said, " I SO want to play Little Big Planet with that guy! LOL. They live a long way from us but maybe I can find a way to get them together. I wish I'd been in contact when they were getting their dx.Miriam
Guest guest
Maybe you can find him on facebook and the boys can talk thru that. Also, maybe they can play games on the Xbox Live together. My son talks to friends all over the world on Xbox. Of course my son know not to give our address, etc. But it is a great way for them to have some friends. They chat and have fun. Also on the computer he can chat live...they can see each other and talk. I hope it works out! My son now has a Girlfriend...he is 15 and 6' tall and if I must say so..cute. Well, actually other people have told me how good looking he is. I see him walking down the halls at school and I don't even recognize him. OMG...that is my son! LOL. One night for the band concert they had to wear dress black pants and a white long sleeve button down shirt and tie. As we were leaving....my son was in front of us with his other friend...(he friend is small). I didn't even recognize him. I kept look at the back of him and saying to myself...where did my little boy go? jan "In the Midst of Difficulty lies Opportunity" Albert Einstein Success is not measured by one's position but by the obstacles one has overcome to obtain that position From: mimasdprofile <callis4773@...> Sent: Sat, January 22, 2011 5:34:32 AMSubject: ( ) 's first friend It's been quite a while and we'd lost contact with the boy. Guest guest
I still look at baby pictures of Maddie and think where has the time gone. This is the first year that she has friends. They are all from the autism class she's in and I think it's great they have formed their own Clique. LOL. I don't think I have ever heard her come home and say that so and so doesn't like her. Guest guest
OMG- we had a similiar experience! a good friend made at Gymboree play class when my 6yr old was 8 mos old. We stayed good friends and have kept in touch. Last yr- both of our boys were dx within weeks of each other with AS. > > I still look at baby pictures of Maddie and think where has the time gone.
