Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I joined this group today because we just found out that our two year old son has Aspergers. He is already in Occupational therapy for Sensory Processing Disorder and has feeding therapy with a Speech Pathologist for problems eating food with textures. The developemental Ped. said that he needs additional therapy for pragmatic language with a speech pathologist as well as play skills therapy and social skills therapy. Does anyone know what I should ask a speech pathologist to find out if they are trained in helping with pragmatic speech? My little boy is very advanced cognitively, but is rigid and repetitive in language and play.
