Guest guest
I was living in a condo in Culver City for 2 1/2 years. During this time I had several health problems including hypothyroid and epstein barr. I am only 25 have lost a lot of my hair, weight etc. and have not been able to attend class at USC for a year. As my neighbor saw the movers leaving my place she asked me why I was leaving. She told me that eight years ago the roof was leaking and was fixed while it was raining. Apparently water flooded the building. People had mushrooms growing out of their floor. This made someone so sick she was incapicated and she sued. (This woman will not talk to me.) I had a company come out and inspect my house. They found mold in almost all of my walls. They also saw obvious water damage. They are going to have to knock all the walls down. What I do not understand is if there is a problem that made someone sick and could cause other people problems why they did not make sure the other residents are okay? I also do not understand why the person who previously lived in the unit did not take care of the problem? When I spend time in my room I can tell the mold got in my belongings because I feel ill. Almost everything is still packed up and I am unsure about what to do with my stuff. I do not want to take any chances contaminating my Dad's house and also do not want to further damage my health. I have done some research trying to figure out what is going on and if the mold could have possibly caused my health problems. It appears that scientific research has been done showing that mold can cause Epstein Barr and Hypothyroid. I feel that I am too young to have health problems that keep me from being able to work and be in school. I also have lost a lot of relationships because of this and am about to loose a lot of my belongings. Does anyone have research, links etc. about specific health problems and mold? Also any suggestions about lawyers in Los Angeles, CA area? Concerned about my belongings contaminating my Dad's house. Personally would like to get a dumpster and get rid of everything. Do not want to contaminate his house or make health problems any worse. Feel free to e-mail at: poohbr1313@...
