Guest guest
Good Morning Everyone, I was wondering how many of us have had to have joints drained? My knee was so bad last week my whole leg was swollen and absolutely useless. My RD drained it by sticking a needle in and sucking out most of the fluid. The fluid was thick and milky. I haven't yet seen the results of the tests run on that fluid. Also--since I've recently had cortisone shots in both knees they are not very painful at the moment. That seems to have made me realize how many other joints have pains. In the last weeks my knees have been so painful I couldn't even consider the other joints. Now that I have some relief in the knees I can feel my ankles, hips, back and elbows. It's rather depressing but at least this week I am mobile. I will start MTX shots tomorrow. But today I am tired of being in pain and wondering if this is what I have to look forward to--if it doesn't hurt here then it will hurt there. Sorry-- Jeanne In Idaho
Guest guest
Hi, Jeanne in Idaho. I'm Randy in Va.. Yes, I had both knees drained. It was about 3 years ago. As a matter of fact, before the knees got so bad, my doctor couldn't totally diagnose my PA. I'll tell you, I can remember what a relief that was, and even though the procedure may appear to be crude and painful, it was actually a " God send " . The relief was incredible. Do you agree? Hey, now for more good news: I'll bet you will start feeling 100% better when the MTX kicks in. I also had pain in other joints, (fingers, elbows, neck, feet especially), but the MTX kicked both the " A " and the " P " in the butt. Let us know how it works for you. I'm sure you will be pleased. v/r RC now4now5@... wrote: > Good Morning Everyone, > > I was wondering how many of us have had to have joints drained?
