The next day, maintenance people came in and openedthe walls and pulled back the carpeting without eventhinking that it could be harmful. Well, a few weekslater we found out that we had been exposed tostachybotrys and a number of other toxic molds. Thefirm that I work for has tried all it can to get ridof the mold, but the damage was already done themoment they opened the walls and pulled back thecarpet. I started having shortness of breath soonafter they opened the walls and finally went to adoctor. He did blood tests to see if I was allergicto the mold, but nothing showed up. I had pulmonaryfunction tests and it showed that I now have asthma. He has me on some medication, but because I am asmoker, I'm sure, but the doctor isn't that the asthmais from the mold. Can anyone point me in the rightdirection so that I can get the kind of diagnosis Ineed to find out if the asthma is from the mold? Idid see the email about the tests for mold exposure. Does anyone know if these are the tests I should askmy doctor to do? I live in Fairfield County,Connecticut, so if anyone knows of anyone who isknowledgeable on this topic in this area, please letme know. Thanks again.__________________________________________________
