Guest guest
Dave, I'm so sorry that you didn't get to hunt this year. In Indiana, they are asking people to go hunting because we have too many deer!! The shooting up there in Wisconsin has been all over the news down here. I'm so sorry for your community there. What a terrible thing to happen. Good thing your brother got two. Maybe he will share some of the venison with you. I still haven't heard back from my doc about going off tx. I hit my halfway mark next week! oooo!! I get my 12 week PCR done too so I can see what my viral level is. I can't wait!! I'm feeling good today. I'll mark it up to turkey, and all the trimmings. Oh...and pie. LOL! I'm thankful for all you wonderful people out there. Where is our girl from Louisiana?? I miss her. Guest guest
I'm not sure if he had an extra tag or not, but even if he didn't we hunt in a group of 10-12 guys, and we hunt until all the tags are full (I don't think we ever filled them all). So if he's filled his, he can shoot another one that one of the other guys can tag. By the letter of the law, as long as the other guy is near enough to be called to tag it, it's legal to do. -dz-Rhonda <rhondahudson@...> wrote: if your brother got two deer here that would be called poaching-lolHow is it he can do that?Boy I can't remember the last time I had venison and I dearly love itRhonda [ ] Re: Update> > > Dave,> I'm so sorry that you didn't get to hunt this year. Guest guest
that is great I am also doing great I add hcg shot 3 x's a week and after 9 days I feel my testis getting bigger this is great they have been dryed up for a long time. In the last 6 weeks I have lost 18 lbs. This is the best I have felt in the whole 16 yrs. on TRT. Phil theta_2k <pohare@...> wrote: Hi Gang, Have not been active on the boards as: 1. New Job 2. Back on but doing 100mg sub-q every 7 days. DIM is interesting, seems to kick in around 4 tabs a day. Kinda reduced most everything i was taking, and all seems well. Decided that i am as horny as a 19 year old, so why try to change that, and that is what is a good measure of the correct dosage. Guest guest
, What brand of DIM are you using? Is the sub-q T injections as effective as IM? If so, do you have any references or links to more info about this? Thanks, > Hi Gang, > > Have not been active on the boards as: > > 1. New Job > 2. New Motercycle > 3. Feeling normal > 4. Guest guest
Phil, That is great news to hear, now i wish Doctors and men with low T could read what you have to say. Has your libido picked up with the hcg shots at all? How many iu's are you doing each shot? There was a study about intertesticular testosterone levels being normal on 250iu 3x a week, is that how you are dosing? > Hi Gang, > > Have not been active on the boards as: > > 1. New Job > 2. Guest guest
it took me yrs. to get my Dr. to stop the gels I was on they did nothing for my joint and muscle pain shit I was house bound for the last 2 yrs. My Dr. wood add shots 200 mg. every other week to the 10g of Testim to help with the pain this worked. But drove up my E2 and when I asked him to check it he laughed and said men don't have problems with Estradiol. I had to print out a lot of articles to get him on board. I kept telling him that doing the gels and shots made no since to me why not just do shots every week. Finely 3 months ago he switched me to shots and I started to feel dam good. Now I gave him a article by Dr. on adding Hcg to ones TRT and my Dr. told me I was still making LH and FSH and if he put me on Hcg that would stop me from making my own LH and FSH. So on my last blood test I had my LH and FSH checked. It came back so low they would not measure it. So my Dr. agreed to start me on Hcg but he would not do what Dr. is doing. He put me on 500 IU's MWF. And I go back to see him in 2 weeks so he can take a value what every that is. It took me so long to get my Dr. there I am just glade he put me on it. So I am not going to rock the boat. The dose I am on is not going to hurt anything it is just a waste of the med but it is only good for 60 days after you mix it. So what is the waste. Let me tell you I have felt stress since coming down with low T 21 yrs. ago and after the first shot of Hcg it was like a ton was lifted off my shoulders I felt so calm and that night sleep like a baby. Now my I feel my testis coming back they were real small and all I could see it my sack hanging there now they are full and I can see my nuts. I hope this means I am making T. My libido is up a lot but the best part is the feeling of well being I have now. Now my Dr. is putting his men on Hcg. Is this the link you are talking about I printed it out for my Dr. last week. http://jcem.endojournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/90/5/2595 Phil theta_2k <pohare@...> wrote:Phil, That is great news to hear, now i wish Doctors and men with low T could read what you have to say. Guest guest
Do you have to be a secondary to see the effects of HCG, what about primary?
Guest guest
Phil, Glad your Doctor is still learning....... and has a great teacher........ That is the correct link and it shows that your ITT should be %26 higher then normal at 500iu 3 times a week, so i would expect that as in enstein " they are alive!!! " That is how i feel when using HCG the boys get all hard and swollen, like they have been reanimated. I do think that over time there will be desensitation and that it is important to cycle off HCG for a period, mabe till they feel like they are shrinking once more. > > Hi Gang, > > > > Have not been active on the boards as: > > > > 1. Guest guest
Very interesting question. One would expect no results from using HCG if one is primary. But, to tell you the truth, i would expect some benefits even for someone who is primary. LH is a hormone, and it may have uses in the male body that are not understood. HCG is inexpensive and sfe, so there is no reason not to try it and see for yourself. Also i would be interested in hearing if it did anything for a primary. > Do you have to be a secondary to see the effects of HCG, what about primary? Guest guest
by Crisler, DO of www.AllThingsMale.com (For more information on Crisler, DO and AllThingsMale.com, please click on the above banner.) In my paper “My Current Best Thoughts on How to Administer TRT for Men”, published in A4M’s 2004/5 Anti-Aging Clinical Protocols, I introduced a new protocol where small doses of Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (HCG) are regularly added to traditional TRT (either weekly IM testosterone cypionate or daily cream/gel). The reasons and benefits of this protocol are as follows, along with a new improvement I wish to share: Any physician who administers TRT will, within the first few months of doing so, field complaints from their patients because they are now experiencing troubling testicular atrophy. Irrespective of the numerous and abundant benefits of TRT, men never enjoy seeing their genitals shrinking! Testicular atrophy occurs because the depressed LH level, secondary to the HPTA suppression TRT induces, no longer supports them. It is well known that HCG—a Luteinizing Hormone (LH) analog—will effectively, and dramatically, restore the testicles to previous form and function. It accomplishes this due to shared moiety between the alpha subunits of both hormones. So, that satisfies an aesthetic consideration which should not be ignored. Now let’s delve into the pharmacodynamics of the TRT medications. For those employing injectable testosterone cypionate, the cypionate ester provides a 5-8 day half-life, depending upon the specific metabolism, activity level, and overall health of the patient. It is now well-established that appropriate TRT using IM injections must be dosed at weekly intervals, in order to avoid seating the patient on a hormonal, and emotional, roller coaster. Adding in some HCG toward the end of the weekly “cycle” compensates for the drop in serum androgen levels by the half-life of the cypionate ester. Certainly the body thrives on regularity, and supplementing the TRT with endogenous testosterone production at just the right time—without inappropriately raising androgen OR estrogen (more on that later)—approximates the excellent performance stability of transdermal testosterone delivery systems for those who, for whatever reason or reasons, prefer test cyp. But there’s another metabolic reason to employ this protocol. The P450 Side Chain Cleavage enzyme, which converts CHOL into pregnenolone at the initiation of all three metabolic pathways CHOL serves as precursor (the sex hormones, glucocorticoids and mineralcorticoids), is actively stimulated, or depressed, by LH concentrations. It is intuitively consistent that during conditions of lowered testosterone levels, commensurate increases in LH production would serve to stimulate this conversion from CHOL into these pathways, thereby feeding more raw material for increased hormone production. And vice versa. Thus the addition of HCG (which also stimulates the P450scc enzyme) helps restore a more natural balance of the hormones within this pathway in patients who are entirely, or even partially, HPTA-suppressed. It is important that no more than 500IU of HCG be administered on any given day. There is only just so much stimulation possible, and exceeding that not only is wasteful, doing so has important negative consequences. Higher doses overly stimulate testicular aromatase, which inappropriately raises estrogen levels, and brings on the detrimental effects of same. It also causes Leydig cell desentization to LH, and we are therefore inducing primary hypogonadism while perhaps treating secondary hypogonadism. 250IU QD is an effective, and safe, dose. After all, we are merely replacing that which is lost to inhibition. In my previous report I recommended 250IU of HCG twice per week for all TRT patients, taken the day of, along with the day before, the weekly test cyp injection. After looking at countless lab printouts, listening to subjective reports from patients, and learning more about HCG, I am now shifting that regimen forward one day. In other words, my test cyp TRT patients now take their HCG at 250IU two days before, as well as the day immediately previous to, their IM shot. All administer their HCG subcutaneously, and dosage may be adjusted as necessary (I have yet to see more than 350IU per dose required). I made this change after realizing that the previous HCG protocol was boosting serum testosterone levels too much, as the test cyp serum concentrations rise, approaching its peak at roughly the 72 hour mark. The original goal of supporting serum androgen levels with HCG had overshot its mark. Those TRT patients who prefer a transdermal testosterone, or even testosterone pellets (although I am not in favor of same), take their HCG every third day. They needn’t concern themselves with diminishing serum androgen levels from their testosterone delivery system. These patients will, of course, notice an increase in serum androgen levels above baseline. While HCG, as sole TRT, is still considered treatment of choice for hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism by many , my experience is that it just does not bring the same subjective benefits as pure testosterone delivery systems do—even when similar serum androgen levels are produced from comparable baseline values. However, supplementing the more “traditional” TRT of transdermal, or injected, testosterone with HCG stabilizes serum levels, prevents testicular atrophy, helps rebalance expression of other hormones, and brings reports of greatly increased sense of well-being and libido. My patients absolutely love it. As time goes on, we are coming to appreciate HCG as a much more powerful--and wonderful--hormone than previously given credit. *Copyright Crisler, DO 2004. Guest guest
If your on the gels take 250 IU's every 3rd. day if you on shots weekly take 250 IU's the 2 days each before your next shot. It come in to bottles and needs to be mixed then it needs to be in the firge so it will not spoil. One box that is only good for 60 days is about $45.00. so doing that much you will be troughing out half a bottle. Guest guest
No clue if my levels went up on HCG as i have not tested HCG alone. I tend to vary my T dose to adjust up or down on how i feel with HCG or not. I am off HCG now for a few weeks and will start back on it as soon as i feel i need it. I would expect that i am making more T but it can't be anywhere near the amount i get from shots. HCG alone was not enough for me, i felt the low T creep in within a few weeks on HCG alone. > > > Hi Gang, > > > > > > Have not been active on the boards as: > > > > > > 1. New Job > > > 2. Guest guest
'Twas me *waving arms* mentioned Nightwish. They have a website...www.nightwish.com. Sadly, they sing in English - or at least they do on the album I have ( " Once " ). What pulled them into my orbit, so to speak, was a video someone had made using footage from Wolf's Rain set to the bonus track on that album, " White Night Fantasy " , which is much softer than the rest of the tracks on that album. I put the " Wolf's Rain " video on my blog which is located at http://www.xanga.com/R_Dorothy_attempts_to_be_Cheza back in May (on the 8th - still there and playable if you scroll back to that date) - the lyrics to it go very well with the WR story...Paradise and wolves being key plot points that are actually mentioned in the lyrics! *Yes, I am...*gulp*...an anime geek *hangs head** *A warning of sorts - sometimes, in my venting in the blogosphere I get very heated and sometimes exhibit...ummm...*blushes*...some un- ladylike behavior (i.e. namely cussing)...and that's the main purpose of me having a blog...so I have an outlet in which to vent uncensored...so those who venture there please keep that in mind. I'm pretty much a goody-two-shoes who picked up some bad habits at one point. I'm trying to break them, but that's a lot harder than picking them up to begin with.* Ian, you know we understand about what things fall by the wayside in times of stress. 'Tis part of the reason I seem to be part of " 's late answers club " lately It was 101 degrees, with a heat index of somewhere between 105 and 108, here the other day. I thought for sure I'd melt. *Suddenly pictures Bloody and Liat singing to Saxy Lieutellan on Bali Hai...*giggles* The fact that even your son says IF he were driving his other car he " might be " dead may be a good sign...perhaps that's a sign he knows he needs help and wants it. I ignored too many signs with one friend...pick up on every detail. Bhangra? You mean like Bollywood? Get " Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge " if you don't have it. I put that one on at work from time to time to *entertain* my co-workers. Between that and the original, MUCH SUPERIOR, German " Tanz Der Vampire " , which Crawford turned into a classic Broadway flop " Dance of the Vampires " instead of leaving it a moody masterpiece...I keep a few people puzzled sometimes in Arkansas *lol*. Throw in the Queen musical " We Will Rock You " and my Christian RAP and ROCK and INDIE ROCKER CD's and I think they're heads might explode *lol*. Bulgaria, eh? Intriguing. Enjoy your holiday. You deserve a good one. I hope your back gets better. Take care. Keep that light shining. Peace, Jenn in Arkansas > > Hi all, > > Sorry its been a while. Guest guest
Hi Ian, Its good to see that light shining again. I'm glad you are back and everything is going along ok. I hope your son can work his way through his problems. He will know that you are there for him to help in any way you can. Hopefully as things ease around you your flare will calm down. It will be all the stress you have been going through recently. I reckon you will be looking forward to your holiday in Bulgaria. Make sure you enjoy it. That's an order! lol I have just read your last mail regarding Gold. I was on that for a number of years so I will break with tradition (lol) and answer this one to Phil next. Take care Ian and have a good holiday. In a message dated 28/07/2006 21:25:42 GMT Daylight Time, viking_warlock@... writes: Sorry its been a while. Guest guest
Hey Hon....shouldn't you see your Primary Care doc for a sinus infection? If you havea a sinus infection brewing, it won't hold for 2 weeks. I think you ought to give your PC a call. Hope it gets better for you soon. I know it's disappointing to " backslide " . Love Betz >
Guest guest
Hi S. Improvement is improvement. MTX takes 8-12 weeks to give an accurate measure if it is helping. I urge you to continue, it could get much better. I'm not a Dr., but I experienced the same up/down results for a bit too. 10mg is a very low dose (but I was on it for over 3 years). Your sinus problem is likely just a coincidence. And it is getting to be hayfever/allergy season. You mention no ther side effects, so it seems that you could continue without risk. I should note that 10mg a week for over 3 years, was enough to bring me from barely walking to normal. Stay Well,
