Guest guest
Today, my 7-yr-old son couldn't find his jacket at school. He gets cold easily, so I always have a windbreaker in his bookbag, but he didn't bring it home yesterday. We looked in the Lost & Found, but it was not there. In the past, this type of thing has resulted in a day-long meltdown, with him unable to think of anything else but the jacket, soI went to 2 stores this morning trying to find the same exact jacket (or one pretty similar), but NO luck. It took me 2 hours to do all this, and the whole time I was worried that he was obsessing about the jacket. I finally decided to go by the house and I dropped off an old hoodie at the front office. I texted his teacher to see how he was doing and she wrote back: " He is great! No problems! He told me every time he hears my voice he feels relaxed! I could cry! " I wrote back: " You are AMAZING! " to which responded " Omg I love your son! He makes my day! " . (I absolutely adore this woman!) She sent me a text a few minutes later letting me know that my son had asked her to send me the message " Thank you for bringing me my jacket " . This evening, I told him how proud of him I was for keeping calm today about not having his jacket. He jumped up on the couch and yelled " Buya! Who's looking at the kid who did not get out of sorts today? You are! " Yes, I was! Gladys
