While attending the largest annual conference and trade show dedicated to the billion dollar indoor environment industry, environmental consultants, contractors, facility managers and public health officials will peruse more than 75 exhibitor booths. Everything needed to evaluate and remediate indoor air pollution and mold contamination will be on display at the 2002 Exhibition. In addition, an intensive seminar program will bring attendees up to date on the industry's best practices for detecting biological contaminants, managing healthy buildings, resolving indoor air health effects, identifying construction defects, remediating mold problems, qualifying consultants and contractors, and more. Healthy Indoor Environmentsâ„¢ 2002 will play host to the first-ever Consumer Indoor Air Quality Forum, bring together the leading industry experts and professionals with consumers to discuss and solve common residential and workplace indoor environmental and mold contamination problems. The event will feature keynote speaker, s, Director of HUD's Office of Healthy Homes and Lead Hazard Control, and an opportunity for consumers to network with IAQ product manufacturers and service providers. The Texas Institute for the Indoor Environment, based in Austin, will also put on their " Environmentally Incorrect " show-modeled after TV's popular late-night staple, " Politically Incorrect " -to debate the hottest indoor environmental issues in Texas. The Consumer IAQ Forum and " Environmentally Incorrect " show will be held Tuesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m. Finally, Healthy Indoor Environmentsâ„¢ 2002 will conclude with the second annual Mold Remediation Forum. More than 250 professionals and 25 industry organizations attended the Forum last year in Philadelphia in an effort to develop national consensus on mold remediation best practices and standards.
